Common Illnesses

The simplest precaution to prevent cold and flu is simply by washing hands before touching food and other sensitive body parts like the mouth. Adults who are in constant physical contact with babies should make it a point to be always clean. Likewise, children who wash their hands frequently have fewer sick days, doctor visits and take less prescription medication. Use antibacterial soap and be discreet when using since it could also kill good bacteria. Covering the nose and mouth when sneezing should be taught to children because the flu virus can travel up to eight metres. Since your child/baby has lesser immunity than adults, proper care should be practised at all times. Below is a list of the more common illnesses that may affect your baby:

a. Colds, Flu and Fever

b. Diarrhoea

c. Ear infections

d. Stool Concerns

e. Other Unusual Conditions

These illnesses can be cured by simple remedies. Just be sure to get the right immunization required for the right age of your baby. Regular doctor visits for physical check up should also be on schedule.
